Meekness is not Weakness!

Capture This: (Created by Marilyn Moore 2013)
She is just so rude, how can I respect a nasty person? Like she is so holy, knowing she was in rehab just last year. God is not moving in her life if she is spewing that negative talk to people, well to me of all people. I’ve been nice to her when no one at church likes her. I know she has been hurt, but she should be grateful I even speak to her. Oh please Lord remove this joke of a Christian out of my presence. Well, until you do, I’m a tell her how her mean behavior has no place in your Kingdom. I’m a let her know you are not in her heart. Don’t worry God I have your back! How can she call herself a Christian and always telling these testimonies and crying out to you like she is delivered? Delivered people know how to treat people. She is so emotional. These newly saved people can be so annoying, right Lord. Why did I have to meet her? Ramona runs up and says,“Hey Sister Jane, what are you doing at this library? Don’t you live across town?” “Hey Sister Ramona, yes I do but I was doing some shopping in the area and thought I’d stop by a quiet place to have a chat with God,” I responded. She quickly added, “Oh ok, I’m glad I ran into you, I had a dream about you. In the dream we were at church and a guest minister called you to the altar and said to the congregation, “Let us praise God for this sister, she has a spirit of meekness. God has sent difficult people into her life and she has shown them his love and grace. You have remained humble when they were mean to you. God showed you it was because of their hurt and lack of trust in people and you listened. He is so happy you have been a witness of meekness. In the bible it states to Love the Lord your God with all your heart and with all your soul and with all your mind and with all your strength and to Love your neighbor as yourself. There is no commandment greater than these. Continue to let God develop your gift of meekness. Remember the word says blessed are the meek, for they shall inherit the earth.” “Ramona continued with excitement, “Isn’t that awesome! It sounds just like you right!” I replied with fear and trembling in my spirit, “Wow Sister Ramona, if you only knew how God just used you! Look, now you have me crying. I really needed to hear that. God is our provider! Come give me a hug, I have to run and stop by a friends house. May God bless you with abundance.”

Let us always have ears to hear what the Lord is saying to us. He speaks in many ways! Do not run when he speaks because your war discharge papers are lined up with it! Let God use you to bring healing to all mankind, not just the people who make you feel comfortable. When people are of Satan, trust me our God of vengeance and justice will remove them and not allow harm to come near your dwelling. This is why we must pray without ceasing!

Matthew 11:15 (NIV)
Whoever has ears, let them hear.

Psalm 37:7-11 (NIV)
Be still before the Lord and wait patiently for him; do not fret when people succeed in their ways, when they carry out their wicked schemes.Refrain from anger and turn from wrath; do not fret it leads only to evil. For those who are evil will be destroyed, but those who hope in the Lord will inherit the land.10 A little while, and the wicked will be no more; though you look for them, they will not be found.11 But the meek will inherit the land and enjoy peace and prosperity.

Hebrews 12:11-13 (NIV)
11 No discipline seems pleasant at the time, but painful. Later on, however, it produces a harvest of righteousness and peace for those who have been trained by it.12 Therefore, strengthen your feeble arms and weak knees. 13 Make level paths for your feet, so that the lame may not be disabled, but rather healed.

  1. Thank you for this! I have been carrying around anger and grief for someone. She told me I had the patience of a saint! I didn't realize that was God stepping in! Oh how humble we should be to be in the presence of the Almighty who gave his one and only son to pay off our debt of sin. May we all walk in Jesus footsteps. Amen!
